BUMP IN PRODUCTIONS is an independent theatre company established in 2004 by a group of young comedic actors. Originally founded to bring musical theatre to a new audience, our mission has developed to stage daring, contemporary theatrical productions in an affronting thrust-theatre format.

Our formula is to pair high-quality performers with innovative direction, to deliver an out of the ordinary experience to our audience.

Notable productions include the SMH acclaimed production of I LOVE YOU, YOURE PERFECTNOW CHANGE and the NSW premiere of the Tony award winning musical URINETOWN. In 2009 BUMP IN PRODUCTIONS joined forces with THE WILLOUGHBY PERFORMING ARTS UNIT to produce the Zenith Murder Mystery series.

Our mission is to present popular, entertaining, professionally produced shows to the Willoughby community and beyond.

BUMP IN PRODUCTIONS is a privately funded organization. Our passion for theatre is infectious and shines through in our work. Our productions would not be possible without the tireless contribution of many individuals, for which we are truly grateful.

She has worked extensively in theatre and film, and was just seen in Oh, The Humanity and All But Won for Sydney Fringe. Ali regularly works as a corporate and medical roleplayer and has spoken at events for clients including Rolls-Royce and Longmans Publishing. She also once worked in Buckingham Palace.Shannon Ashlyn - Vera Claythorne Born and raised in Switzerland, Shannon toured and trained with the Schauspiel Schule Zurich before moving to Australia to continue her drama studies. Since graduating from WAAPA in 2009 Shannon has performed on stage in Time (Sydney Fringe), Rope, the Australian premiere of Agatha Christies The Mousetrap (both Bump In Productions), The 2011 Play Offs (Griffin Independent) and The Farnsworth Invention (New Theatre). Student credits include Top Girls, A Mother, Coram Boy and Richard III (WAAPA) and she recently appeared on TV on Packed to the Rafters (Channel 7). Shannon has been a proud member of MEEA since 2007. Peter Bishop - Dr Edward George Armstrong Peter has enjoyed a successful international career as musical actor, singer, dancer and choreographer. His stage career in Australia started as a member of the Natural Seven with the ABC Saturday Show, followed by appearances on many popular television shows. He had his own show, Bishop to Knight on SBS. West End credits include original productions of Phantom of the Opera, Saturday Night Fever, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He has enjoyed many musical theatre roles and frequent associations with Sydney Dance Company and The Australian Opera Ballet.Anthony Campanella - William Henry Blore Anthony is a late bloomer into the world of acting, having been successfully involved in business management. A graduate of Actors Centre Australia, he has appeared in numerous productions ranging from Shakespeares Much Ado About Nothing (ACA), to more contemporary plays such as Cock (NIDA), Nightlife (2011 Mardi Gras Festival) and Up For Grabs (LCTC). Anthony has also featured in a guest role on the television drama Rescue Special Ops, commercials and corporate training videos. James Collette - Fred Narracott James is a 2011 graduate of Actor's Centre Australia's full time course. His roles for ACA include Marcus in On top of the World, Lester Lamb in Cloudstreet, Semyon Zakharovich in Vassa Zheleznova, Parolles in All's Well that Ends Well, and Ansel in Killer Joe. This is his debut role for Zenith Theatre and Bump In productions. James is a proud member of MEAA.Andrew Flanagan - Anthony Marston Andrew started in music theatre appearing in shows such as Les Misérables and Cabaret before studying Acting at QUT. Student credits include The Golden Age, The Imaginary Invalid and Tommy. Since graduating in 2009 Andrew has travelled the world, worked on a mixed media short film shortlisted for Tropfest, featured in an independent feature, and has performed in many live action and animated shorts both as actor and voice over artist.Errol Henderson - General MacKenzie Most recent credits include The Farnsworth Invention (New Theatre) and The Possibilities (Sidetrack Theatre). Other credits include Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet, Dray Chance in The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek ( Alchemy Theatre), The Rules Of April (Newtown Theatre), Cosi (New Theatre), The Crucible (Seymour Centre). Film: The Rage In Placid Lake. Television: Farscape, Australias Most Wanted, All Saints, Heartbreak High, Edward Jones, Home and Away. Tim Page - Judge Lawrence Wargrave Tim works in plays, musicals, film and television. His Danforth in The Crucible won a best actor award. Tim toured in The Caretaker and relished starring roles in Sleuth and The Woman In Black. A Sondheim specialist, with major roles in three of his musicals, he was in the original West End Aspects of Love. Tim is remembered as Dr Graham Steele from television's The Young Doctors.Christopher Sellers - Phillip Lombard Christopher Sellers is an actor, writer, kung fu instructor and coffeeboy. Graduating from ACTT in 2004, Christopher spent 2 years living and working in London where he established his production company, Coffeeboy Productions and is producing his feature film The Prince for early 2012. When not writing or performing, Christopher is teaching kung fu at his private school, Wing Chun House, in Glebe.Peter Talmacs - Thomas Rogers Peter Talmacs has been around Sydney theatre for many years, appearing in shows ranging from Shakespeare to Sondheim. He appeared in The Mousetrap for Bump In Productions at the Zenith last April as well as in Rope, which played at the Zenith last year. Other credits include 4Play (Slide Bar for Mardi Gras), Bondi Legal (Tap Gallery) and Feelgood (New Theatre). He has also written short pieces and directed, most recently for the pub theatre show Play With Your Food! Television and film credits include Home and Away and Superman.Sandy Velini - Emily Brent Studied at Rose Bruford College in Kent, England. West End credits include: Sunset Boulevard, Rebecca, Secrets & Lies, Comic Potential, Poltergeist. Australian credits include: Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Real Inspector Hound, A Couple of Poor Polish Speaking Romanians, Burnt by the Sun, The Breath of Life, Parramatta Girls and 4 episodes of Deadly Women for American TV. Sandy has also appeared in Short & Sweet from 2009 to present, and DVDs for Cancer Research and Aged Care channel. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------Adrian Barnes DirectorAdrian has had a long and varied career in the performing arts. After training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Adrian had a successful career in the West End, appearing in such classics as West Side Story, Kiss Me, Kate and Hello Dolly, as well as working with some of the UKs renowned theatre companies. Adrian has appeared regularly on Australian TV, in the occasional film and many plays and musicals including: The Pirates of Penzance The Broadway Version, Simon Gallaghers famous Pirates Tour, and Seven Little Australians: the Musical. Adrian has directed many plays and musicals, most recently the first Australian professional production of Agatha Christies The Mousetrap, for Bump In Productions, a new play by Dorian Mode called Feedem Fighters and the award winning play The Day The Sky Turned Black which has just played to great critical acclaim at the New York Fringe Festival. He teaches acting worldwide, combined with an active performing, teaching and directing career. Simon Greer - Set Design and ConstructionSimon graduated from NIDA in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts in Production Design and has designed over 100 shows in the past 10 years. Highlights include Rope and The Mousetrap for Bump In Productions, Aida and Blood Brothers for RLE, Skate for ATYP, Camelot and Sweeney Todd for WTC and Valley Song for MTC. Anna Gardiner Costume Design and ConstructionAnna graduated from WAAPA in 2008 with a Bachelor in Production and Design. Since graduation Anna has designed for several productions across Sydney including costumes for Romeo and Juliet and As You Like It for Sport for Jove Theatre Company and costumes for Rope and The Mousetrap for Bump In Productions. Heidi Brosnan Stage ManagerCurrently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Live Production, Heidi has been working professionally in theatre since 1993. She has worked on international touring productions in London and South Africa, as well as lighting rock bands including Crowded House and Foreigner. Now living Sydney, she is continuing her passion for theatre, lighting this years show for The Sydney Grammar School and Bombshells, The Crucible and Clue the Musical for the Castle Hill Players.

THE MOUSETRAP - The world's longest running play

THE MOUSETRAP has been thrilling audiences from around the world for as long as HRH Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne. Originally staged in London's West End in 1952, it has enjoyed the longest initial run of any play in history, with over 24, 000 performances so far.

More than 10 million people have seen this classic murder mystery since it opened. For almost 60 years, no trip to London was complete without going to see THE MOUSETRAP at St Martin's Theatre, and being warned at the end of the performance never to reveal its surprise ending. Although THE MOUSETRAP has been performed in more than 40 countries and translated into over 20 languages, this entertaining comedy thriller has never before been performed in Australia.

His other stage credits include Tranio in The Taming Of the Shrew and The Tamer Tamed, The Woman in Black, Romeo + Juliet, Michael Gow’s Live Acts on Stage and Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia. Robert has also featured as a lead in director/writer Nick Verso’s award winning film MAX: A Cautionary Tale.Louise Fischer - Mrs BoyleLouise Fischer has an MA in Theatre Studies from the University of NSW. She has appeared as Edie in Man from Mukinupin, Mother in Girl on a Sofa, Gina in The Wild Duck, Sally in City for Sale and Mrs Wong in Someday, Suddenly. Louise is also an accomplished director – her credits include The Crucible, Cabaret, Burnt by the Sun, Honeymoon Suite, Richard III, Dancing at Lughnasa, Lemon Delicious and The Caucasian Chalk Circle to name a few. Louise is also the Artistic Director of the New Theatre.Kieran Foster - Christopher WrenKieran is a 2008 graduate of The Actors College of Theatre and Television. His theatre credits include Go West at Griffin Theatre, Mandragora at the Seymour Centre and In Stereo at the Old Fitzroy. In 2010 Kieran toured Australia with Brainstorm Productions, playing the lead role in The Human Race and Verbal Combat. TV credits include Deadly Women and a TV commercial for RSVP. Kieran is a proud member of Actors Equity.Kim Knuckey - Kim KnuckeyKim has been a regular guest on Home and Away and a core cast member of Out Of The Blue. Other recent television credits include Rake, Kokoda, I Spry and Me And My Monsters. He'll be seen soon in Rescue Special Ops and Tough Nuts. He has just finished filming the very funny feature film A Few Best Men. Kim is a part of a vibrant group called Writers Anonymous who perform early drafts of works for the writer's benefit.Brett O'Neill - Giles RalstonBrett has graduated with a Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music. During his time at the conservatorium he won multiple awards one of which being Most Promising Voice in Music Theatre. Previous roles include The Baker in Into The Woods, Albert in Bye Bye Birdie, Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Tinman in The Wiz, Sid in The Pajama Game and Troy in High School Musical. He recently played Sergeant Murphy 2 in the Sydney Fringe Festival’s In A Pink Tutu directed by Peter Ross. Since graduation, she has designed costumes for Romeo and Juliet, No Way to Treat a Lady and As You Like It. She has also designed productions for several independent plays and worked as costume coordinator for the charity performance of Into The Woods performed by the cast of Wicked.Mitchell Bradley – Stage ManagerMitchell recently completed his Adv Dip of Stage Management at ACTT. He has stage managed many of ACTT’s college productions and independent theatre including Hamlet, and St Nicholas to name a few. Currently Mitchell is the ASM swing for the Sydney production of Jersey Boys at the Theatre Royal.

They've done it...but will they get away with it?

In this classic suspense drama, William Brandon and Charles Granillo commit what they think is the perfect murder. Set in a fashionable 1920s Mayfair apartment with no clues, no mistakes and no witnesses, its buffet dinner for seven. The audience will be left wondering, Whats under the buffet? and Will they get away with murder?

The first play in the Zenith Murder Mystery series, Rope, is a taut psychological thriller written by Patrick Hamilton, which will play at the Zenith in a limited season from 7 to 16 October. The play is perhaps best known from suspense-master, Alfred Hitchcocks 1948 film adaptation, and from its recent critically acclaimed West End revival.
